Experienced Laser Supervisor

We are Registered Nurses with over 18 years experience in Accident & Emergency, also with 15 years Light experience. As clinic owners with Laser Safety Officer (LSO) qualifications, we are also Advanced Laser Operators. Members of NWBA, A5M and APAN. We hold a Laser License with the WA Department of Radiology and are compliant to supervise required hours by the Department of Radiology, which are;

Hair Removal

25 hrs for Hair removal, you will need to be an Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse or hold a Diploma or Certificate IV in beauty therapy (or equivalent), have attended a recognised laser safety course and have undertaken a minimum of 25 hours practical training under the immediate personal supervision of a person licensed in WA for the use of lasers for hair removal.

Superficial Cosmetic Procedures

50 hrs for Superficial cosmetic procedures (pigmentation and vascular treatments only), you will need to be an Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse or hold a Diploma or Certificate IV in beauty therapy (or equivalent), have attended a recognised laser safety course and have undertaken a minimum of 100 hours practical training (50 hours training in pigment treatments and a minimum of 50 hours training in vascular treatments) under the immediate personal supervision of a person licensed in WA for use of lasers for superficial cosmetic procedures.

Western Australian non-medical practitioners can now do Laser as well as IPL Treatments for cosmetic procedures. The Department of Radiology is our governing body that controls the license exemptions and licensing.  In order for any Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, Diploma or Certificate 4 Beauty Therapist to be able to perform the required hours above they first must attend a recognised Laser Safety Course and have successfully attended and obtained a Laser Training Certificate to be certified to use and operate their laser.

There are also other things that need to be considered and this is where we can help. You need to have the correct licensing for your staff and your machine as well as being supervised by a recognised supervisor for your required hours.

At WA Laser Supervision and Training, we can help provide you with the supervision and information you need for your business to start operating your investment machine.  We will come to you and help you through the procedures in getting your business, machine and staff ready to use lasers.

Our rates are reasonable and won’t break the bank, and as a business owner myself, who had to also go through this process – I understand that time and costs are a major factor in getting your laser operational.
